INTRODUCTION:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This product is for business and their managers who employ a
group of people who work on a variety of jobs. Business Clock Link
is a PC-based time clock that monitors where workers are, what they
are working on and when they started and stopped.
Unlike other PC based time clock programs, Business Clock Link
is oriented toward the needs of managers. So we say that Business
Clock Link is "The Clock That Means Business." Here's why:
1. Visual clock-in/clock-out feedback with animation so workers
and managers know exactly who is clocked in and who is not.
2. Real-time job reporting system that allows the manager to
scan or print exactly how many hours are invested in a job,
who did the work and when the work was done.
3. Networkable file system so multiple PC's can be used at the
same time and you can monitor it all from the office.
4. Worker messaging system that gets messages to workers
immediately and confidentially. No more running around to
deliver a telephone message to a worker.
5. Written in the C language for speed and flexibility and
dBASE IV file formats with exporting to allow easy
development of add-ons and connection with Payroll.
6. On-Line worker discipline that allows the manager to give
demerits and reprimands and to prevent clocking-in.
7. Worker scheduling that prevents early clock-in, forces
end-of-day clock-out, and automatically enters work breaks,
lunches and planned activities.
8. "Ticker Tape" continuous printing of transactions that guards
data from power outages, provides proof of system integrity
and allows a quick scan of the latest transactions.
WHAT'S NEW:
~~~~~~~~~~~
This version 1.4 was released March 1995.
We will provide you with the latest evaluation copy without
charge if you call, write, FAX or E-Mail us your request. If
you believe that you have an older version, let us know and
we'll either send you an update or let you know how it can be
got electronically.
REL. DESCRIPTION
---- ------------------------------------------------------
1.4 Worker Scheduling. You may now enter a work schedule for
each worker which will prevent early clock-in, force an
end-of-day clock-out and automatically enter breaks and
lunches. You can also schedule a particular activity
for the same time each day, such as housekeeping, and
the clock will automatically enter the transaction.
1.3 Worker Passwords. You may now assign a password for any
worker. This prevents intruders from discovering
clock numbers by randomly entering numbers.
Default Worker Job Numbers. You can assign a worker to
one job number, suppressing any prompting for job.
Works great for the guard, janitor or any other worker
who always uses one job number.
Manager's Monitor. For those with networks, the boss can
watch workers come and go by monitoring all activity
from one station on the LAN.
Licensed users receive File Upgrade Utility for converting
data from prior versions.
1.2 Edit workers hours. Any transaction can be edited by the
manager. Useful for making corrections.
Job array selection for remote clock-in. Workers who
clock-in remotely now can scan for job numbers.
Manager Messaging. Workers can leave the manager a
a message when they clock out.
Intruder detection. Message send to manager after three
consecutive invalid entries.
1.1 Printed reports can have subtotals printed for each day
each week. Useful for preparing payroll.
Printed reports can be printed in 'summarized' form,
showing totals for each worker by day or week, but not
showing the detailed in/out transactions.
Remote (command line) clocking-in and clocking-out. For
those with networks, this allows workers to clock-in at
their own station, rather than using a central PC
dedicated to Business Clock Link.
1.0 Initial commercial release.
